I will be happy to go back to Orcutt Ranch. There were many scenic possiblities to paint, and we didn’t even get into the park very far. It is fascinating how, standing only about 15 feet apart, the three of us each chose totally different subjects.

It is up to me to come up with next week’s location. Tough assignment. Wish my backyard was up to snuff.

PLEIN AIR #2. I edited out about half of the foreground, and what I did keep I didn’t finish. My takeaway on this one is that I should work on more variety in my greens. I thinkĀ I tend too warm. After looking at other landscape paintings recently, it also occurred that I don’t have to use green at all. I’ll keep an eye out for an opportunity to give that a try.
