Rocky Peak #3

What I brought home.

“Finished” at home.

I name my paintings on the fly and pretty much land on the obvious, but I made sure I put the word “freeway” on this one. I don’t know that the casual observer would figure that out looking at this scene.

I was looking up a hill, and I think that comes across. I’m not sure that using the old oak as framing device was a good idea, especially since I normally don’t like trees swooping into a scene. I tried to mind the sunlight but I think I’m still afraid to go bright enough. The main rocks looked tons better in the block-in.
